Susie and Todd call themselves the perfect match. The couple met on Match.com, began dating right away and six months later they were engaged. The Bride Susie Axelrad, 38, residential realtor The Groom Todd Giery, 37, TV producer and editor The Date October 27 Todd secretly planned to ask Susie to marry him during a spring trip through Europe, and chose one of the most romantic cities in the world to make it happen. He popped the question during a moonlit gondola ride through Venice, complete with a serenading gondolier. Are you serious? was Susie's first response. Todd put the ring on Susie's finger and asked one more time. She said yes and six months later they exchanged vows during a beautiful fall ceremony.

To match the bridal party bouquets, the men wore hypericum berries, herbs, and fall foliage on their lapels. Each arrangement was tied off with a pistachio ribbon.
A huppah was made from gold-painted Aspen trees. Specialty lighting, lanterns, pumpkins and fall leaves were set up around the arch, giving it the feel of a perfectly romantic fall evening.
Guests got an early Halloween treat at the reception thanks to a candy buffet filled with colorful sweets.
The escort cards were shaped like autumn leaves and hung from a tree that was also adorned with hanging votives, leaves, and fall squash.
To complement their autumn theme, the couple used rich jewel toned linens, gold beaded chargers, and gold satin napkins for the place settings. Pumpkins, pine cones and leaves added the final touch to the tables and centerpieces.
The groomsmen wore black single-breasted suits with orange ties to match the bridesmaid dresses. Todd donned an elegant French blue tie.
The bridesmaid gowns were the perfect pop of fall color. All seven wore tea length sienna colored gowns with plunging necklines. Gold shoes completed the look. Susie wore a two piece Monique Lhuillier gown brought together with a sable colored sash. The top piece was lace and the skirt was satin. For her something borrowed, she pinned her mother’s brooch to the bow.
The Couple
Susie and Todd shared their first dance to This Will Be, played by HomeSlice Band, a nine-piece group with a four-piece horn section.
Metallic terra cotta paper showed off the wedding's autumn leaf motif. The couple included an explanation of the Jewish wedding traditions that Susie and Todd incorporated into their ceremony.
Because of their extensive dessert buffet, the couple chose to keep their cake on the smaller side. But it did not disappoint. The chocolate and raspberry confection was trimmed with a pistachio green ribbon and decorated with pine cones, acorns and leaves that were all made out of sugar.
Some of the tables had floral arrangements inside large pumpkins. The couple also filled tall vases with mini Jack-o-lanterns and glowing votive candles.
