Telecommunications director Rob, 38, read Susan a list he’d made of the top ten things he wanted to do in his life, from trekking the Himalayas to spending the rest of his life with her. “I would have been overwhelmed with emotion, but just as he was pulling the ring out, an SUV almost backed right into the carriage,” says Susan, a 33-year-old asset manager. “Although we were having so much fun we almost forgot to cut them, the cakes were absolutely phenomenal,” Susan says. The bride’s cake was a four-tier confection with champagne mousse and raspberry and apricot filling.

Susan’s three attendants wore two-piece ensembles from Jim Hjelm: an ivory organza over ivory silk halter-style top and ivory over maize skirts.
Susan and Robert stood with the minister beneath an archway made of tree branches that the bride’s father had built while the best man held an umbrella over their heads.
