Susan and Christopher met on a blind date and hit it off right away, and it wasn't long until Christopher proposed. After enjoying a cozy dinner to celebrate Susan's birthday, the couple was relaxing by the fireplace when Christopher took his cue and proposed. Susan and Christopher exchanged vows in the Loretta Chapel. Her godfather married the couple, good friends read an Apache blessing, and eight members of The Dessert Chorale sang throughout the service.

The groom’s three-tiered, chocolate buttercream cake was filled with dark chocolate and Grand Marnier and layered with orange filling. Small mandarin oranges decorated each layer.

After being led by a mariachi band from the chapel to Pasqual’s, the reception site, the couple kicked off the evening with a dance to “Sweet Kind of Love,” by Bob Wills.
Brightly wrapped turquoise, red, and gold boxes were filled with chocolates and displayed at each place setting. In addition to chocolates, guests were given custom-printed calendars and a bottle of fresh maple syrup with custom labels to celebrate that their wedding fell on National Maple Syrup Day.

Guests indulged in a three-tiered, square cake frosted with vanilla buttercream and decorated with fresh roses. Inside, layers of vanilla bean cake were filled with apricot and mocha.
