Surprise Proposal

Lauren and Adam met in middle school but didn’t reconnect until years later. “Adam knew my nightmare was a public proposal and thankfully respected that,” the bride says. “On December 23, 2015, I was getting ready for a Christmas party at our house when he asked me to come into the living room to look at a gift he was especially proud of wrapping.” Out of the corner of her eye, Lauren noticed Adam’s cell phone propped up on the bookshelf possibly recording them. Adam read a note in his pocket, and the couple celebrated their engagement with their favorite bottle of champagne. “It was perfect timing since all our friends were coming over that evening, and it turned into an impromptu engagement party,” Lauren says.
