When it came time for Stephanie and Michael to pick their wedding location, there was no better place than the town they both grew up in -- especially since they fell for each other in high school! The Bride Stephanie Lipscomb, 24, community manager for a large non-profit The Groom Michael Madsen, 23, accountant The Date September 27 Stephanie first met Michael when he'd come over to her house to hang out with her younger brother. But after spending time together as members of their church youth choir back in 2000, Michael no longer just saw Stephanie as his friend's older sister, and asked her to go out to dinner with him on Valentine's Day. They clicked right away and kept the connection all through college when Stephanie attended the University of Tulsa and Michael went to Oklahoma State. After almost six years of dating, Michael popped the question while on vacation in Florida. The couple hit a favorite local restaurant -- The ideal spot to watch the sunset! says Stephanie—and were sitting at the beach when Michael asked her to marry him. She first responded with, Are you kidding?! but quickly answered yes. It was a destination proposal, but the couple married in their hometown, using hues of red, orange and gold to bring their autumn wedding to life.
