“The most important part of the wedding was community,” Ashley says. “I think you remember the moments with your friends and family much more than any of the small details. After the reception was over, we gathered with our siblings and our parents while everyone else was getting the sparkler send-off ready, and Alec’s brother prayed over us. It was such a quiet, sweet moment before running off to the getaway car. I loved it.”
