A wide variety of flowers in many colors illuminated this beautiful fall wedding. The Bride Sonya Lenahan, 32 The Groom Matt Keister, 32 The Date September 17 After being friends throughout high school and college, sparks flew when Sonya Lenahan and Matt Keister reconnected five years after graduation. For his proposal, Matt surprised his sweetheart by flying her to Puerto Vallarta where he arranged to have champagne and dessert set up on the beach at sunset. The happy couple got a round of applause from guests looking down from the resort once Matt got down on one knee and Sonya said, “Yes!”

The fondant confection covered in orange roses featured two tiers of chocolate mocha, and two filled with champagne and delicious raspberry cream.
Green and purple hydrangeas, green carnations, bells of Ireland, hypericum berries, and orange roses made everything that much more beautiful.
Their Tuscan-inspired ceremony and reception took place in the couple’s backyard on tranquil Lake Entiat, with mountains spread out into the distance. In front of an ivy-covered trellis, the bride’s and groom’s mothers read poignant passages (including excerpts of “Apache Wedding Blessing”) before Sonya and Mike were pronounced husband and wife.
Despite Sonya’s prewedding nightmares of walking down the aisle without wearing her dress, this wedding went off without a hitch, with Sonya looking exquisite in a custom-made L’ezu Atelier princess-cut gown with an Alencon lace-embellished bodice and a satin organza skirt tied at the waist with a deep golden satin sash.

The Ring Bearer
The favors were small monogrammed boxes tied with burnt-orange ribbon and filled with chocolates.
Sonya and Matt had their first dance to Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All,” then spent the rest of the evening dancing with their guests until 12:30 a.m. “We were having too much fun to tear ourselves away!” the couple says.
A cocktail tent lit with brightly colored lanterns housed a bar and plenty of tables for guests to mingle while Sonya and Matt had pictures taken down by the water. Later, a larger tent covered with brown silk dupioni welcomed guests with a dance floor, Brazilian guitarist, and DJ.
The Bridesmaid Bouquets
For centerpieces, urns overflowed with orange roses, and dark green and purple hydrangeas were flanked by hurricane lanterns holding tangerine candles. Gold chargers with white china graced each place setting.
The junior bridesmaids carried pomanders, which tied around their wrists.
