Sonnenalp Hotel Ceremony Venue

“We decided on the Sonnenalp Hotel because it was so unique,” Taylor says. “We loved the idea that we could have our ceremony and reception in one place and that we weren’t in a ballroom. Since we were in the mountains, we wanted our venue to showcase that. Our ceremony took place on Ludwig’s Terrace which looks out onto Gore Creek. I don’t do well with last minute change, so I didn’t want to plan an outdoor wedding and have to do the back up plan if it rained. The amazing thing about the Ludwig’s Terrace is that is has a retractable roof that we could have open if it was nice out and close if it rained. Luckily, it was beautiful outside that day and the sun was shining down on everyone.”
