Playing off Vermont’s natural scenery and the elegant, old world charm of the Shelburne Farms Inn, Mia and Mike created a day rich in rustic chic flair. Cool shades of blue and gray dominated the decor, lending a sophisticated feel to the outdoor affair, with seasonal blooms like hydrangeas, roses, peonies, delphiniums and lilies adding freshness and vibrancy to the reception’s long farm tables. “My mother-in-law created a design board with samples of fabrics, including those from the bridesmaid dresses, and sent it to our planner and other vendors to help convey the feeling and scheme I was going for,” says Mia.
