Shayla and Garret took full advantage of the beautiful weather at their garden wedding at Phipps Mansion. The Bride Shayla Orton The Groom Garret Francis The Date June 5 After four years of dating, college sweethearts Shayla and Garret were enjoying a romantic weekend in Vail when they decided to take a gondola to the top of the mountain. But as they headed toward an overlook to check out the scenery, Garret stepped into a soft spot in the snow and his leg sunk all the way to his knee. What Shayla thought was a misstep was actually a cleverly planned proposal.

Shayla and Garret cut a three-tier cake frosted in white buttercream and topped off with a fondant bow. The layers alternated between white cake with white chocolate and raspberry filling, and chocolate cake with hazelnut filling.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen had red roses for their bouquets and boutonnieres, while the bride and groom had white roses and stephanotis.
The First Dance
Shayla's three bridesmaids wore strapless floor-length silver gowns.
Shayla and Garret wed in the gardens of the Phipps Mansion. Later, the reception took place in the foyer and patio.
