After changing up the wedding colors, purchasing two wedding gowns, and surviving the seating chart process, Sharon and Mark decided to spend their wedding day focused on what was really important – each other. The Bride Sharon Sansevere, 25, teacher The Groom Mark Schwarz, 26, teacher The Date June 24 Sharon and Mark married at The Lafayette House, a charming venue decorated with country-chic touches. While guests were enjoying the cocktail hour, the newly married couple (and their tuxedo-clad pooch) had photos taken on the site’s picturesque veranda.

After exchanging vows they wrote themselves, the groom (who also is a musician) pulled out an acoustic guitar and serenaded his bride with her very own song!
For the cake-cutting ceremony, Sharon and Mark cut into a three-tier white confection embellished with Swiss dots, intricate scrollwork, and their monogram.

Sharon had not one, but two gowns to choose from -- and she waited until the very last minute to do so! “I wanted to see how my hair and makeup looked before making my decision,” she explains. In the end, she met Mark at the altar wearing a strapless A-line gown with a silk-organza overlay that was split in the back and trimmed in crystals.
