Shabby Chic in Asheville, North Carolina

High school sweethearts Sara, 26, and Tyler, 26, decided to start looking at engagement rings after both moving back to their hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. On the way to scout out some jewelers, Tyler made a pitstop at their old high school. "Tyler took me by the hand and led me to the same spot where he had asked me to be his girl friend nine years ago—and proposed to me with the perfect ring!" says Sara. Inspired by their North Carolina roots, the couple planned a Lake Eden wedding and based their blush, gray and orange color scheme off of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. "We were hooked when we found out that Lake Eden has six cabin rentals for onsite lodging and we took full advantage for the weekend," says Sara.  "The gorgeous view combined with the Southern hospitality made for an enriching and memorable experience for all of our guests!" After a mountainside ceremony decorated with hydrangeas and lace, guests moved into the rustic-chic tented reception. Lush arrangements of garden roses, spray roses, hydrangeas, dahlias, carnations, peonies, stock, dusty miller and poppies brightened the wooden farm tables.
