Incorporating close family members and friends into the ceremony was a must for Elizabeth and Nick, which ultimately led them to asking their close friend to officiate the event. They obtained a one-day certificate from the state of Massachusetts, allowing her to officiate the ceremony, then the trio worked together to write the entire ceremony from scratch. “We really wanted our wedding to include special elements that reflected things that were meaningful to us as a couple,” Elizabeth says.
