Sarah Gallick was pleasantly surprised that so many friends and family members had decided to join her in celebrating her 25th birthday. Friends had driven from Delaware and New York, her sister flew in from Colorado, but the biggest surprise was yet to come: Jeffrey Andolina, her boyfriend of four and a half years proposed in front of the entire crew. Everyone regrouped for Sarah and Jeff's Washington, DC wedding, held at the same church where his parents had wed. The Bride Sarah Gallick The Groom Jeffrey Andolina The Date May 1 Sarah and Jeff exchanged their vows at Holy Trinity Catholic Church -- an especially meaningful choice since the groom's parents (who had also met as Georgetown students) wed there 30 years earlier. After the ceremony, guests started out upstairs at the Halcyon House for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in rooms with a view of the Potomac. Later, everyone went downstairs for dinner to the enormous space that Sarah and Jeff had transformed with brilliant spring hues. Tables were covered with bright green silk tablecloths, green bell-shaped wine glasses, silver chargers, and bright, cheerful centerpieces to give the raw space a warm ambience.

Sarah and Jeff cut a four-tier cake with white icing decorated with bright pink ribbon and flowers on each tier. Inside, two tiers featured almond cake with chocolate buttercream, while the other two boasted chocolate cake -- one with Kahlua filling and one with raspberry filling.
The Couple
I was nervous about everything coordinating and looking right, but I shouldn't have worried at all! Sarah says. Dragonfly created the most beautiful, vivid bouquets and arrangements I have ever seen. The bride carried a bouquet of pink tulips of varying shades and varieties, while the bridesmaid bouquets were green hydrangea, pink and orange gerbera daisies, and yellow roses.
The florist also created brilliantly hued pew markers and altar arrangements for the ceremony.
