Sarah & Christopher in Cascade, Montana

Sarah Grant (25 and a graphic and web designer) and Christopher Cauble (29 and a photographer) met through mutual friends. Two years later, Christopher proposed in Livingston, Montana, on the banks of the Yellowstone River. The couple chose Sarah’s childhood backyard for their venue because they wanted to share the beauty of Montana with their friends and family, and they didn’t want the party to end early, either. They used a neutral color palette of shades of white and peach so the attention would be focused on the swoon-worthy mountain and river views instead of the attire or centerpieces. Loving DIY details, Sarah and Christopher added homemade touches such as the wildflower floral arrangements made from fresh daisies picked by the bride and flower girl the morning of the wedding, the homemade appetizers made by Christopher’s aunt and even Christopher’s first published book, “A Montana Journal” as the guestbook. At the end of the night, guests enjoyed a gorgeous three-tier peach fondant cake and an impromptu firework show by Christopher’s brother.
