Sunflowers and wildflowers were radiant against this Texas wedding's chic brown and ivory wedding colors. The Bride Sara Goudge, 23, PR intern The Groom Jeffrey Brouillard, 23, credit analyst The Date September 17 Jeffrey Brouillard first noticed Sara Goudge during driver’s ed class, but they actually started dating after bonding during a high school spring break ski trip. Years later, after a seaside Cape Cod proposal, the two enlisted a wedding planner and Sara’s mom to help create a fall wedding for an impressive 600-person guest list.

Friends threw confetti as the newlyweds dashed into their car after donning going away suits: white for her and black for him.
The cakes were set up indoors, where sunflowers cascaded down Sara’s five-layered buttercream cake.

The reception was held outdoors, where tables were draped with striped linens and accented with sunflowers and yellow and pink roses. Globe lights and low branches gave a private, moonlit feel to the grand celebration.
Sunflowers covered the altar and made up all the bridal party’s bouquets -- with a few white and blue wildflower blossoms added to Sara’s own bouquet. “I later found out that ancient cultures believe sunflowers represent devotion,” says Sara. “What a perfect meaning for wedding flowers!”
The Presbyterian minister incorporated Catholic vows and traditions from Sara’s background into the ceremony.
Because it was a relatively late wedding, Sara and Jeff skipped the cocktail hour and offered wine as guests immediately dove into a meal of their choice selected from an array of food stations.
The couple opened the dance floor with a spin to James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You),” which was followed by the sounds of classic rock that kept everyone on their feet late into the night.
