Rustic Vintage Wedding at Dawn Ranch Lodge in Guerneville, California
Cory Rogers proposed to Gwen Lutz after finishing a long distance bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and from that moment on began planning their vintage-styled wedding at the Dawn Ranch Lodge. The turquoise and red decorated venue provided the perfect rustic backdrop for the couple’s wedding day, with DIY escort cards, table markers and runners incorporated into reception table décor, thanks to Gwen’s profession as a clothing designer. Gwen purchased a vintage dress off of Etsy and made it her own, adding accents of lace embroidered with red Bakelite jewelry, and wore a custom-made pair of red suede shoes to match. Cory wore a pair of suspenders and a plaid vest with a bow tie, pocket square and felt boutonniere pinned to his vest. Cory designed wooden figurines of the bride, groom and their rescue dog, Mr. Peanuts, to serve as a topper of their three-tiered turquoise and red strawberry wedding cake. After the couple exchanged vows and were officially married, they rode away on a tandem bike, with a replica of their rescue dog in the front basket, which brought their story of getting engaged with bikes involved to a full circle.
