When Jessica, 27 and an independent sales director, met Trent, a meteorologist, it was love at first sight. For the first two years of their relationship, the couple lived two hours apart, until they packed up and moved cross-country together to Ohio. At the end of an evening cooking class, Trent took Jessica by complete surprise and got down on one knee. The couple had a rustic vintage wedding in Texas, the state where they first met.

Jessica purchased her Maggie Sottero dress from Celebrations Bridal in New Braunfels, Texas. Two things she wanted her dress to have: lots of lace and a keyhole back. She first saw it online and knew it was the one.
Jessica's Maggie Sottero dress was very fitted, all lace with lots of beading, ivory and champagne-colored with a key hole back.
The bride wore embellished silver peep toe heels with her ivory lace dress.
Jessica's mother and bridesmaids picked out her jewelry, hair piece and veil. They, in addition to her dress, are from Celebrations Bridal.
The bridesmaids wore long black fitted dresses with key hole backs and a purple ribbon around the waistline.
The bouquets contained a variety of ivory, champagne and deep purple flowers including Picasso calla lilies, hydrangeas, roses and orchids.
The bride carried an embellished burlap and lace bouquet wrap with a few scattered pearls and a rose wreath trinket.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with an ivory vest and bow tie.

The groom's only request was that he and his groomsmen got to wear bow ties! The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with eggplant vestsand an eggplant bow tie.
Barbie Foerster, a local florist in New Braunfels, created all the floral arrangements and decorations.
Venue decor such as old doors, windows, lanterns and vases reflected the couple's theme of rustic vintage.
The couple displayed a vintage chalkboard to welcome guests into their ceremony and encouraged them to sit wherever they wanted.
The flower girl baskets were white wrapped in ivory ribbon and filled with blush and ivory flower petals.
"We chose this venue because we loved the rustic, Texas feel," says Jessica. "We had guests from 12 states across the country attend our wedding so we wanted to give them the full, hill country, rustic Texas experience."

"We loved the beautiful stone on the walls in Stonehaven Hall as well as the rustic beams on the ceiling and hardwood floors," says Jessica. She walked down the aisle to "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" played by a string quartet.
The couple's close friend got ordained so that he could officiate the couple's ceremony. According to Jessica, the couple's favorite part was the first kiss "we were so nervous that we actually kissed twice because the first kiss was so short!"
A local DJ, Gordon Land, played music throughout the night. In addition, a family friend played his guitar and sang a few songs during cocktail hour and while the DJ was on break to add a personal touch to the reception.
Irene Soechting, a local baker, made the couple's four deconstructed wedding cake tiers from her home, each with a unique topper with variations of purple calla lilies, ivory roses, baby's breath and the couple's last initial, "M." The bride's cake was vanilla with buttercream icing, and the groom's cake was chocolate with buttercream icing in the shape of a thundercloud with a lightning bolt, since he is a meteorologist!
The table centerpieces had all sorts of flowers mixed with vintage items such as bird cages, old books, boxes, pearls, jars, vases and candles. Every centerpiece was different from the next.
