Rustic Chalkboard Cocktail Menu

Mia and Mike kicked the festivities off with a lively cocktail hour in the Shelburne Farms barn. Five specialty cocktails were served, one for each place the couple had called home, including a Maryland Mule, Cohasset Seabreeze, Vermonter, Manhattan and Chilean Pisco Sour. Guests enjoyed Mike’s sister surprised the pair with a performance of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ song “Home,” getting the couple’s 10-piece reception band, Joey Scott and The Connection in on the action. “Katie even made up the words during the vocal interlude about when Mike and I first met and arranged for the band to join in halfway through,” says Mia. “It was incredible and brought tears to my eyes.”
