A Romantic Wedding With Modern Touches at The House of Dirt in Fort Worth, Texas
Attorneys Chi and Colin focused on what they call “urban romance” when designing their wedding. “We met in Dallas and wanted to share the city with our guests,” Chi says. The pair juxtaposed romantic elements, like rich fall-inspired tones and arrangements of protea dotted with roses, with more modern touches, including a mixed wedding party in chic black or burgundy, and their own outfit changes. To show friends their favorite parts of the city, the couple invited their crew aboard a party bus, complete with photo ops and, of course, plenty of Whataburger.
After their chapel ceremony, Chi and Colin welcomed guests to House of Dirt in Bishop Arts. They chose the space in part because it was right around the corner from Eno’s, where they had their first date. “We wanted it to feel like a house party,” Chi says. “As with any fun party, food and music were key.” The couple kept the festivities casual with yummy palomas with mezcal, spicy chicken tamales and upbeat tunes courtesy of the Royal Dukes Band.
