The Couple Honored Their Chinese Heritage at This Giracci Vineyards Wedding in Silverado, California
Tony and Susan wanted to host a wedding where "both younger and older guests would be able to enjoy delicious food and have a great time." To do just that, the couple booked Giracci Vineyards in Silverado, California, to serve as a picturesque mountain vineyard backdrop for their fun wedding celebration.
"We were drawn to and inspired by the vineyard and its outdoorsy vibe," says Susan. "The oak trees filled with vines, a dazzling hilltop sunset view, and twinkling lights under the stars—the vineyard created the perfect scenic mountain backdrop. We were so relieved to find that the romance of the vineyard complemented our design perfectly. Our theme and style were romantic, whimsical, and elevated. Our main color palette was comprised of blush, mauve, nude, and neutral colors."
Susan goes on to share that the couple "wanted to incorporate our Chinese culture into our wedding as we knew this was important for our family. We did so by having a tea ceremony where we offered tea to our relatives as a way to show them our appreciation as they provided us with gifts. For our wedding reception, we wanted an event where everyone could dance, sing and enjoy great food. We wanted to offer Chinese-style food and were so fortunate to have found Furiwa as our caterer as they were able to cook up some amazing food with a kitchen they set up at our venue."
While each part of the wedding was memorable, both Susan and Tony especially loved dancing at the reception. With all of the wedding planning finally behind them, they cherished being able to cut loose and just have fun dancing the night away. "We both love dancing (an understatement for Tony in particular) and we got to swing our hips to our favorite jams among all our loved ones. I think what made it special too is that we had not really seen people, let alone gotten to dance with anyone, for over a year so everyone was excited to get their groove on." Susan adds that "the dancing felt like a symbol of the beginning of our future filled with many dances as a married couple and also an end to all the wedding planning and arrangements. We could finally let loose! We were also blown away by how everything turned out. It was definitely more than what we had expected which made our wedding day even more memorable."
