Romantic, Tuscan-Inspired Wedding at Bella Collina in Orlando, Florida
After considering an Italian wedding, Alexis (Angel) Guevara (29 and a psychiatrist) and Jake Altier (26 anda physician) decided to marry closer to home at the Tuscan- inspired Bella Collina. Candlelight, gold damask linens and ruscus garlands brought an old-world elegance to a day filled with personal touches, from their “dog of honor” to a traditional Christian foot washing. Angel and Jake exchanged vows on a lawn overlooking Lake Siena while carried roses, thistles, amaranthus, peonies and protea. Angel’s mom gave Jake a pear-shaped diamond, a gift from her own mother, which he refashioned with rose gold. Greenery garlands and tea lights hung from a custom wood frame above the head table, where hand-calligraphed cards marked each place. Peonies and roses decorated the almond, carrot and white velvet cake with raspberry filling. Later, Jake surprised Angel by playing an original song on his guitar. “It celebrates what we're going to do the rest of our lives together," Jake says. Guests waved sparklers as the newlyweds headed off to a yellow BMW convertible.
