The Beauty of Sun Valley, Idaho, Was on Full Display at This Romantic Tented Wedding

Madde and Daniel tied the knot in idyllic Sun Valley, Idaho, with an elegant green-and-white tented wedding that showcased the beauty of the mountainous region. "Our wedding was easily the best weekend of our lives," recalls Madde. "The inspiration of the day was centered around our story and growth as a couple, but also playing off the natural beauty of Sun Valley. When asked what our theme was, it was easy to answer—Sun Valley! We did incorporate a Catholic mass to kick off our weekend, but instead of inviting all guests to attend mass, we chose to begin our wedding weekend on Thursday with a family mass with only our siblings, parents, and grandparents. It was the perfect start to our celebrations and allowed a moment of calm before all the festivities began. At the Catholic mass, we chose to exchange traditional vows, leaving the ones we personally wrote, to say in front of family and friends on Saturday's nuptials."

Following the intimate Thursday Catholic ceremony, all guests were invited to Friday's welcome party to formally kick off the wedding weekend. Then the main event took place Saturday—a ceremony amongst the trees with sweeping mountain views and a reception under an elegant sailcloth tent. But the fun didn't stop there—the couple bid all their guests adieu Sunday morning with burgers and beer. As the invitation noted, "don't book your flights too early on Sunday because there is still more fun to be had. The perfect companion to wrap up any wedding weekend is always a burger and a beer. Join us for some farewells and the best cure in town!"

Madde and Daniel wanted their wedding to be classic but fun. As she described it, she wanted a wow factor at each and every turn of the romantic, elegant wedding. "For the wedding day, and sticking with the theme of timeless beauty in Sun Valley, a lot of white florals and greenery were used," recalls the couple. At the reception, green velvet linens added depth and texture to the wedding design while a five-foot cake, tequila tasting station and custom ice luge brought the fun energy the couple was looking for.

In addition to being fun and classic, it was also critical to Madde and Dan that the Idaho wedding be packed with meaning and personalization. Upon checking in, guests were treated to a bag of Madde and Dan's favorite items—granola, playing cards with their wedding monogram, and custom hats also with a monogram so guests could identify one another in the small town of Sun Valley throughout the weekend. Another fun moment of personalization came in the form of the escort card display which was comprised of black-and-white photos of each guest that Madde had collected.

Looking back on their wedding day, Madde and Daniel express gratitude over the fact that the multievent, multiday celebration gave them the chance to really connect with their loved ones. "Planned out over the course of 4 days, each day provided us with time to relish in each wedding event and all of our guests who traveled near and far. Looking back, having a first look before the ceremony was incredibly special. We did our first look perched on our family friends' private property above the venue, able to take a moment to just ourselves, while simultaneously looking down and getting excited to celebrate with our loved ones."
