A Romantic Garden Wedding Between High School Sweethearts in Meriden, Connecticut

Lacee and Preston wanted their wedding day to be as classic as their romance. After meeting freshman year of high school and dating for nearly a decade, the couple planned a celebration that incorporated their family history as well as iconically romantic touches. Guests found their way around the expansive property, owned by Preston’s grandmother, using a hand-illustrated map. Meanwhile, Lacee tied the roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus of the bouquet together with an heirloom locket. “It was a special way to blend something beautiful from the past in with something new,” she says.
Sprigs of rosemary added a soft, natural touch to the mismatched china and luxe chargers. Not only did guests bite into vanilla cake with cannoli filling and chocolate chips, but they also grabbed coconut cake and tiramisu from the sweet table spread. Lacee and Preston welcomed guests to his grandmother’s estate, complete with fountains and flowers for their desired garden party vibe. “Her home means so much to us, and it will forever be a part of our lives,” Lacee says.
Lacee and Preston broke out into a choreographed dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” lift included.
