Nearly three years later, on Amy’s 33rd birthday, Josh took Amy to one of their favorite restaurants. They were sitting at the same table they had shared during past dates when Josh got down on one knee and asked Amy to share her life with him. “I was in shock, started crying, and said yes!” says Amy.

The band learned The Grateful Dead’s “Easy to Love You” for the couple’s first dance. “Josh used to call and sing it to me on my voicemail,” says Amy.

The reception tables got a burst of color from bright yellow or green table runners. Yellow, green, and white paper lanterns hung from the chandeliers overhead.
The five bridesmaids wore cheery yellow silk dresses accented with bouquets of white daisies, green button mums, yellow snapdragons, and green hydrangeas.
For a fun burst of color, Amy dyed the crinoline of her dress a bright apple green.

Amy’s bouquet was filled with mums, daisies, ranunculus, and hydrangeas. The stems were wrapped with a green-and-yellow polka-dot ribbon and accented with a four-leaf clover charm.
Amy incorporated “something blue” into her wedding shoes, with powder blue soles and a darker blue “I do” design.
Yellow and green ribbons brightened up the cake, while lots of white dots gave it texture. A whimsical bride and groom topper reflected the couple’s fun style.
A miniature chalkboard on a bright yellow easel let guests know there was ice cold lemonade available.
The RSVP cards inspired the simple white programs trimmed in a yellow-and-green border.

A wooden arrow directed guests toward the ceremony site and gave them a preview of the light and festive ambience of the day.
Guests placed their drinks on fun green-and-yellow coasters, which were personalized with the couples’ names.
