The Bride Racquel Jupio, 28 The Groom Ken Hsieh, 27 The Date October 29 Houston dentists Racquel Jupio and Ken Hsieh first met as undergrads at the University of Texas. They were introduced at a UT Dental Society meeting; then they chatted during a chance encounter in line at the post office before becoming study buddies in dental school. Their fondness for one another grew, and after one bad day for Racquel, “Ken called and offered chocolate cake and ice cream as consolation,” she remembers. “I was hooked.” Ken popped the question on a Hawaiian beach just after they had attended a friend’s wedding, and Racquel returned to the room to find all sorts of wedding magazines strewn about the place. “Overjoyed, we started to go through all of the magazines, dreaming and planning,” remembers Ken.
