Private Estate Wedding in Warsaw Virginia

Alyson Pugh (29 and the owner of a PR and marketing agency) and Matthew Tignor’s (36 and a VP of sales) wedding was all about capturing the essence of Southern charm. “I wanted it to have that welcoming, cozy atmosphere, but with a bit of elegance,” Alyson says. The pair tied the knot at Alyson’s family farm, which happens to be just across the river from Matthew’s childhood home. After a first look, at Alyson’s parents’ place, the couple headed to a riverside celebration with Carolina-blue touches, Southern- style snacks and illustrated custom crests dotted throughout the décor.
Alyson and Matthew’s reception wouldn’t have been complete without their cart of dierent biscuits. “The biscuit bar was an absolute must-have,” Alyson says. Guests selected sweet potato or buttermilk biscuits and topped their picks with crab meat, strawberry preserves and many other faves. When it came to flowers, Alyson relied on one mantra. “Peonies, peonies and pink peonies,” she says. In that spirit, peonies decorated tables.
