Personalized Ceremony

“We really wanted our ceremony to be grounded in our story and share our journey as a couple,” Paulina says. Paulina and Anthony’s friend Darrell officiated, and as Paulina says, “he really captured our story and shared his heart.” The couple exchanged vows under a willow arch that they had made the week before with Anthony’s parents and grandmother. “We treasure that we stood under something we created together,” Paulina says. For a unity ceremony, the couple’s mothers poured rose petals into a single vase to symbolize two families becoming one. Another memorable moment: The wedding party prayed over the couple before they were announced as husband and wife. “To have a community that we love and cherish surround and embrace us was a memory we will never forget,” Paulina says.
