As a boy walking to school in Portugal, Victor used to pass an overlook covered in wisteria vines. “As a nod to this memory, we used silk wisteria to create a canopy at our altar,” Alice says. Similarly personal details could be found throughout their entire wedding day— Victor’s nephew, a classical Portuguese guitarist, played before the ceremony and the couple exchanged vows in both English and Portuguese. The newlyweds also took a moment to sing “Happy Birthday” to their flower girl, who turned two that day.

Lemon trees brought a Mediterranean vibe to the modern restaurant space. “Victor is obsessed with lemons and eats them with everything, so we had to work them into the decor,” Alice says. The newlyweds cut into a naked lemon cake with Chantilly cream, blueberries and blackberries.

Alice rocked two outfits throughout the day: a sleek strapless gown and a pant-top combo with a train. Alice sprung for a pair of used Manolo Blahniks to wear for photos. By total coincidence, the sole of one shoe was signed “To Victor, Manolo Blahnik.”

Alice, a former pro dancer, and Victor wowed with their moves to “Chega no Suingue,” by Seu Jorge.  The couple’s favorite restaurant served up citrus-and-burrata salad and halibut with asparagus.

Hot pink anemones and peonies matched Alice’s favorite shade of lipstick. Vases of pink buds brightened the bar.
