Peggy Reid and Matthew Thorp felt an instant connection when they met during a ski trip to Lake Tahoe. They had their first date a few weeks later -- a romantic dinner at home followed by reading aloud from a book of David Sedaris short stories -- and were inseparable from that point forward.
