The Bride Patricia Tebbe The Groom Paul Neal The Date February 19 Planning a wedding long-distance wasn’t a problem for Patricia Tebbe -- at least not in the beginning. “I could fly to Minnesota for the weekend to meet with vendors and still be back in time for work Monday morning,” says the financial analyst, who was living in New York City when she started to plan her wedding in St. Paul, near where she had grown up. Things became a bit more challenging, though, when she and her fiance Paul Neal, a management consultant, were transferred to his hometown, London (the transatlantic pair had met there in 2001 while Patricia was traveling).

Snow began to fall just before their early evening ceremony in the History Center’s Capital View Hallway, which was very simply adorned with white hydrangeas, white roses, and plump pillar candles on tall candelabras.
The inspiration for the wedding cake came from Patricia’s bouquet: The three tiers featured a cascade of stephanotis made from Bailey’s Irish Cream icing.

The first of Patricia's two gowns was a satin halter gown with a tie back from Nicole Miller.
Silver beaded-edge chargers added sparkle to the tables covered with Ferragamo-striped white-on-white linens.

The 200 stephanotis blossoms in Patricia’s bouquet were the perfect complement to her two wedding gowns.
After cocktails and jazz music on the second floor, the 90-person party headed back upstairs to the ceremony site, which had been transformed into a sexy, sophisticated space for dinner and dancing. “When I saw the room after everything was put together, it was absolutely stunning,” Patricia says “I couldn’t believe it was actually my wedding!” Wintry icicle centerpieces were hung with glass votives, giving the space an intimate glow.
