Pancakes Followed Up This Minimalist Elopement at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California

Charmaine Vegas (40 and a jeweler) and Brandon Neddersen (34 and a planning manager) are Long Beach residents. “Our wedding had to exemplify us: unconventional and intentional,” Charmaine says. With that in mind, “we made the day our own,” Brandon says.  The couple started their day with a minimal morning wedding with 11 guests on Mount Hollywood at the Griffith Observatory before heading to brunch at the 101 Coffee Shop for a maximal meal of their fave breakfast eats. “The architecture of the building and where it sits, with the Hollywood sign and Los Angeles in view, is hard to beat,” Brandon says. Charmaine is a pancake lover, so it made sense for the pair to follow their a.m. vows with a fresh stack. “The coffee shop has a retro vibe we love,” Brandon says. The day also included elements near and dear to the couple's hearts. Charmaine paired the wedding ring she designed with a ring from her late mom while donning Hawaiian elements inspired by her high school years spent in Hawaii. Charmaine carried tropical leaves, and the pair also wore ti leaf leis.
