The main piece of décor Jenny and Dennis added to their ceremony space (which had been a basketball court just months before) was a wooden cross. “Some of our family members were concerned about our ceremony taking place outside of a church—that it wouldn’t feel formal or ‘religious’ enough,” Jenny explains. “We included the cross to, in a way, ‘sanctify’ the space.”
