Outdoor Terrace Ceremony

Adam and Brian held their ceremony on the outdoor terrace of the Raymond T. & Sally C. Duncan Pavilion of the Denver Art Museum as the sun began to set. The ceremony was officiated by a friend of the couple, who wrote the ceremony based on questionnaires, which she gave both Adam and Brian, about their relationship. The ceremony ended with the following statement, which acknowledged the passing of the federal law allowing for marriage equality in California, “I do pronounce you [air quotes] ‘married,’ I don’t pronounce you civil partners, I don’t pronounce you wed in just one state. Instead, it is my honor and pleasure to pronounce you husband and husband.”
