rn High school sweethearts Trisha Ross (25 and a sales and development coordinator) and Nic Remund (24 and a farmer) held a modern, romantic celebration at Oak View Nursery in Minnesota. “We both love modern design and wanted to incorporate that into our wedding,” Trisha says. “To soften it up, we added touches of blush, chiffon and greenery.” Their color palette—copper, marble and blush—was chic but still rustic and warm. After an outdoor ceremony, the newlyweds hosted 250 guests in an indoor/outdoor reception on-site. “The venue had fire pits, an area for yard games, plenty of seating and indoor space.”
For dinner, guests sat at long wooden banquet tables topped with silver dollar and eucalyptus garlands, copper terrariums and pillar candles. “We wanted every detail to be a reflection on our love or our personal style,” Trisha says. “My favorite details were the ones that have such meaning in our hearts.” One meaningful detail was the wedding hashtag #EverybodyLovesRemund, a phrase Trisha used to write on signs to cheer Nic on at sports games in high school. For a fun favor, guests took home personalized can koozies. “Slow down and make sure to build in moments and details that are meaningful and special to you and your soon-to-be husband,” Trisha advises. —Carolyn Meers

Ginger P Designs helped create the couple's vow booklets.
"For our bridesmaids, I wanted a very effortless and comfortable look for each person," says Trisha. "They turned out to be exactly what I was picturing. I wanted a variation of colors, fits and styles in muted blush and neutral tones."
Guests' seating assignments were hung on a macramé backdrop positioned at the reception entrance.
Custom wooden signs instructed guests to respect the unplugged ceremony request.
Trisha and Nic said their vows outdoors under a simple wooden altar.
A vintage bureau once owned by a relative of the groom served as the guest book table.
At the reception, a playful chalkboard sign ("You are the chip to my salsa") welcomed guests to dig into pre-dinner snacks.
Personal touches continued into the reception décor. "At the front of our table, we had a hoop covered with greenery and our favorite saying 'Always & Forever' hanging behind us," Trisha says.
Place settings were simple but still chic, with rose-gold chargers, blush-pink napkins and calligraphed name tags.

For a modern touch, table numbers were etched onto clear acrylic signs set in wooden holders.
"Our wedding cake was a raspberry white chocolate bundt cake," the bride says, and guests were served a variety of mini bundt cakes called "bundtinis".
"For our guests, we had red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate and marble bundtinis with cream cheese frosting," Trisha says.
