Only Six Guests Attended This Intimate Microwedding at Leal Vineyards in Hollister, California
Despite the pandemic, Tiffany and Todd didn't let circumstances get in the way of celebrating their love and marriage. The couple "decided to have a micro-wedding with our immediate family members to create a safe environment for all. We limited our bridal party to my cousin, my maid of honor, and Todd’s brother, his best man. I was going for a modern rustic theme with a bright, airy and romantic feel. Our color palette included mauve, greenery and gold accents," says Tiffany of the couple's microwedding at Leal Vineyards in Hollister, California. While the celebration's guest list was much smaller than Tiffany and Todd initially anticipated, the outdoor family-focused celebration was bursting at the seams with love and joy. "Because our wedding was so intimate, everyone played an important role," explains Tiffany. "My brother officiated the most beautiful ceremony and Todd’s brother’s wife was our makeshift DJ! Initially, we planned on doing our first dance during our big celebration next year, but last minute we decided to do it on our wedding day (good thing we already had a song picked out!). We’re so glad we got to share that special moment with our loved ones."
As for the wedding's decor, the couple chose a color palette and design scheme that would complement the vineyard's natural beauty. "With the hillside of the vineyard and stunning waterfront lake as our backdrop for our ceremony, we kept it simple. We chose a wooden hexagon arbor with asymmetrical floral and foliage in mauve tones, ivory and mixed eucalyptus. Our reception decor included a beautiful floral arrangement in a long wooden rustic box as the centerpiece alongside gold geometric figures with wax pillar candles and gold votives. Our venue put together a delicious three-course meal with wine pairings and a charcuterie board which we were able to enjoy at our farmhouse tables. I loved our table settings, which had a eucalyptus sprig with each gold charger plate and a menu that my maid of honor DIYed," says Tiffany. "Our floral arrangement consisted of amnesia roses, mauve astrantias, ivory peonies, soft blush spray roses and mixed eucalyptus. We were very fortunate to have a venue that provided beautiful views, but the florals really added that special touch."
To current to-be-weds navigating wedding planning amid the pandemic, Tiffany and Todd encourage "couples who experience an unexpected twist due to the pandemic, just remember to keep it simple. The wedding is about sharing your love with the love of your life. Be in the moment and feel all the emotions between the two of you. Stay hopeful about what’s to come. When it is safe to do so, it will be the sweetest celebration with all of your family and friends."
