Even before they were engaged, Emily and Wade (Field) knew they’d return to Eden Gardens State Park one day for their wedding. “I love that while you’re still at the beach, it feels romantic and woodsy,” Emily says. Seven months after the proposal, the couple invited 225 guests to celebrate their union with an “enchanted party in the middle of the woods.” Though understated, natural elegance was the theme of the day, the vibe was anything but relaxed once the sun set.  Unfinished pottery and a rosemary sprig at each setting kept the reception tables rustic and elegant without being too casual. “I wanted something fitted and elegant without being too formal,” Emily says of her wedding dress that she paired with Field’s grandmother’s diamond necklace. Wanting her flowers to feel freshly plucked from around the venue, Emily carried a bouquet of peonies, anemones, scabiosa accented with willow and seeded eucalyptus. Guests entered the reception through an arch covered in eucalyptus leaves and white hydrangeas. “I honestly hardly spoke to guests because everyone was too busy breaking it down on the dance floor,” Emily says.  Guests took a dance break to devour slices of the tiered wedding cake that “was just as gorgeous as it was tasty,” made of vanilla bean with bourbon cream cheese and toffee, strawberry, coconut almond and French vanilla layers.  If that weren't enough to satisfy guests, the caterers baked fresh doughnuts as a surprise late-night treat.  Bruiser, the groom’s old Jeep, served as the getaway car—“the same Jeep that picked me up for our first date, that we had our first kiss in and that Field proposed to me on,” Emily says.
