One Couple's Intimate Industrial Wedding at Event1013 in Downtown Plano, Texas
In a matter of a mere two months, Jessica and Nate managed to pull off their 200-person party at event1013 in Plano. “I wanted a cozy space with hardwood floors and brick walls,” Jessica says of playing up their urban venue’s interior with French-blue accents and muted arrangements of eucalyptus, anemones, silver brunia, blue thistle and roses. “It was important to me that I hand-pick all of the flowers myself.” The day before the celebration, she hosted family and friends in a flower party, where they arranged blooms while listening to the bride’s favorite Bruno Mars playlist. “That was definitely one of my favorite moments,” she says. On the day of, Jessica wore an off-the-shoulder gown and a custom veil she handcrafted.To honor the groom’s Los Angeles upbringing, Jessica and Nate made their grand reception entrance to Tupac’s “California Love.” Later, they swayed to Otis Redding’s “You Send Me” for their first dance. “We played all types of love songs, from country and soul to pop music,” Jessica says of their setlist.
