High school teachers Kara and Clintonbooked their venue, The Allen Farmhaus, for two simple reasons: the ambience and the owners. “There’s something magical about the place,” Kara says. “With the big open Texas sky above us and great people to work with, what more could we ask for?” Clinton’s nickname for Kara (“Moonbeam,” as he calls her) inspired the day’s celestial theme, which came to life thanks to sweet MoonPie desserts and crescent-stamped favor bags. “It was important that our wedding didn’t feel too formal or rigid,” Kara says. “I wanted it to be a representation of us.”  Instead of a veil, Kara wore a bohemian flower crown for the occasion, just like her mother did on her own wedding day. A cocktail camper was parked on-site and dished out custom margaritas in flavors like blueberry pomegranate, strawberry mango, white peach and lavender. “It was such a hit,” Kara says.
