Old, New, Borrowed, Blue

Katie’s look was filled with sentimental meaning: She borrowed a veil made by Scott’s aunt (and that his cousin had worn on her wedding day), wore diamond stud earrings that once belonged to her mom and in her bouquet carried a blue sapphire charm (a gift from her paternal grandmother) and a gold stop sign charm inscribed with “I’ll never stop loving you” (an anniversary gift that her maternal grandfather had given her grandmother). “They were the most perfect ‘something old’ and ‘something blue’ symbols,” Katie says. The bridesmaids wore satin Jenny Yoo gowns in gold. “They looked like beautiful statuesque trophies,” the bride says.
