New Year's Eve Wedding at The Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC
One year on the Fourth of July, Scott and Burcin set out with their picnic basket filled with food and beverages to find a good spot for the fireworks in Washington, DC. The couple's good friends Craig and Karyn met up with them where the picnic was set up, but shortly after Scott insisted Burcin and him go for a walk because it was too hot to stay in one place. Although Burcin thought it was strange, she agreed and walked with Burcin to a nearby garden that was part of the George Mason Memorial. This was one of Scott's favorite spots where he made the decision years ago to officially move to Washington, DC. 11 years later, Scott was now about to make another decision that would change his and Burcin's life forever. When they arrived at the memorial, Scott first gave her a carved box from when they traveled to India that contained small tokens representing places the couple had been or planned to. Moments later, Scott pulled out a second box that contained something sparkly - an engagement ring. The moment was captured by Craig and Karyn, who followed the couple with a camera and was in on the plan the entire time. It was a picture perfect moment that, thanks to their friends, could now cherish forever.
