Representing their roots was important to both Shannon and Adam when it came to the decor. In addition to the romantic, shabby chic theme, the couple incorporated details throughout the day that showed off a little state pride. The couple’s save-the-dates boasted silhouettes of their home states and on the day of the wedding guests were greeted by Nebraska and New Jersey flags flying high on the flagpole in front of Bonnet Island Estate. The couple even had guests write their well wishes on wooden state-shaped cutouts, playing up the “two states, two hearts, one big day” theme.
