Nautical Floating-Candle Centerpieces

Part of what drew Blair and Matt to Portland, Maine, was the city’s beautiful harbor views, so it was a given that a nautical theme should be present in their decor. The couple brought a piece of the beach to Ocean Gateway, where the reception was held, decorating each table with sand, shells and twine-wrapped table numbers. Creating a sense of intimacy and ambiance was key in the vast industrial space and the inclusion of floating candles in the centerpieces did just that, the brightly lit clusters casting a warm, inviting glow over the room.
