One Couple's Nature-Filled Wedding at Silver Oaks Chateau in Pacific, Missouri

High school sweethearts Christa and Lucas knew they wanted to exchange vows in the great outdoors. “Lucas and I love to hike and camp,” Christa says. “We wanted a location that highlighted nature and provided a beautiful rain option if necessary.” That logic brought them to Silver Oaks Chateau. After their “I dos” under an arbor built by Christa’s dad and uncle, and a tree planting ceremony, guests moved inside for fresh cuisine and summery sips among sage and mint surroundings. The newlyweds shared the love locally too. Instead of handing out wedding favors, they made a charitable donation to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways to benefit the children’s area at the Pulltite Visitor Center.
“We wanted to complement the natural beauty of Silver Oaks and its acres of land,” Christa says. White garden roses, peonies, succulents and greenery blended with ivory, gold and sage décor. Each table number represented a different national park that the outdoorsy pair had once visited.
