Natural Décor Set the Tone for This Wedding at Zingerman's Cornman Farms in Dexter, Michigan
When Tiana DeVasier and Zain Mahmud started to plan their wedding, they wanted to entire aesthetic to connect seamlessly with their rustic farm venue. "We wanted to embrace the natural feel of having a farm venue and incorporate subtle fall accents. Our color palette was neutral with white, sand, and muted dusty rose tones," the couple shares. "We wanted a more organic and delicate feel with the floral as the farm provided a lot of natural elements. We didn't want to overwhelm the wedding with a ton of floral but wanted to balance the design with the natural beauty of the farm. For the ceremony, our florist created an asymmetrical arch that was assembled directly onto the farmhouse, which was used as our ceremony backdrop. The arch consisted of mostly greens with a touch of delicate flowers. The bridal bouquets were asymmetrical and contained a delicate and unique mix of floral with all of the tones in our color palette. The reception consisted of candles, clear bud vases, and larger arrangements," the couple shares of their Dexter, Michigan, wedding. Beyond thoughtful floral design, the wedding at Zingerman's Cornman Farms was also filled with personalized touches. "Our Siberian husky, Diego, was drawn onto our invitations, the day-of menus and also made an appearance walking down the aisle. Also, my husband surprised me with a live performance from his band. He worked with our DJ, who provided him with equipment, to surprise me by performing the song he sang to me on our first date," recalls Tiana.
