It was the day before Thanksgiving when Nagore arrived in Washington, DC, for a vacation with her girlfriends. After dinner, they ended up in a bar near Capitol Hill where David happened to be chatting with a friend. Nagore invited David to play pool and they hit it off immediately. Eventually, they snuck away from the group and ventured to another bar where they talked until closing time. David asked Nagore on a date the next day and their relationship took off from there. Surrounded by friends and dressed to the nines, David decided it was the perfect night to propose. He wasn't sure how to get Nagore away from the crowd, so he just told her they had to leave. Reluctantly, Nagore followed David to the Washington Monument. He fumbled with removing the ring from his pocket and dropped it on the ground. A stunned Nagore watched as he snatched it up and knelt down to propose. Happy, but at a loss for words, Nagore kept David waiting in suspense for a moment until she finally said yes.

David's green cymbidium orchid boutonniere perfectly coordinated with Nagore's bouquet. His groomsmen's boutonnieres featured another flower from her bouquet, the calla lily.
On their way into the reception, guests were greeted with wine and champagne. The beverages were placed on a table near the entrance, which had been decorated with stunning arrangements of bells of Ireland, gladiolas, orchids, and calla lilies.
The couple's white wedding cake was frosted in buttercream and decorated with fresh green cymbidium orchids. Two tiers were made up of lemon poppy seed cake with lemon filling, while the other two were Madagascar vanilla cake with Idaho huckleberry filling.
Very little additional decoration was needed in the beautiful church where Nagore and David's ceremony took place. Pomanders of green mums hanging from the pews were all they added.
In keeping with the chic black-and-white color palette, the groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos and white shirts. The flower girl wore a black dress with a contrasting white caplet and carried a pomander of white flowers.
The centerpieces were tall, cylindrical vases filled with water, flowers, and floating candles. The tables were also topped with framed photos of the couple in Washington, DC, where they shared special memories, and wine bottles with custom labels.
Nagore's bridal bouquet was a mix of cymbidium orchids, jade roses, calla lilies, and bells of Ireland. The green flowers in the bouquet brought color to the classic black-and-white color scheme.
Black tablecloths and stark white napkins created an elegant look for the reception, while candlelight brought warmth to the industrial space.
The stylish font, colors, and design used on the ceremony programs were also found on the invitations and the menu cards.
The couple was married in a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Nagore's bridesmaids wore elegant black, taffeta dresses from J.Crew. To block out the February chill, they accessorized with wool caplets. Their bouquets, which mimicked the bride's, included jade roses, calla lilies, and bells of Ireland.
