Music Filled Every Part of This Romantic Wedding at Madera Estates in Conroe, Texas
Early on in their relationship, Vanessa Marin and Erick Vega would frequently go on dates to concerts. Given how fondly Vanessa and Erick look back on their memories from concerts, the two knew that live music needed to be an integral part of their wedding at Madera Estates in Conroe, Texas. When guests arrived to the couple's outdoor wedding ceremony they were greeted right off the bat by a live mariachi band. Then, for the ceremony processional and musical parts of the vow exchange itself, Vanessa's brothers performed on guitar and piano.
Music was also a big part of the couple's wedding reception. Notably, the couple's first dance was an especially memorable part of the evening. "Erick is the MOST thoughtful person; will do and go out of his way to create solutions around the house that make it much easier for me to do things (being that I am disabled) and truly believes I should experience life just like anyone else does and really tries his best to ensure that… even if it means carrying me through numerous sets of stairs just to get to a destination,” says Vanessa. Just as Erick has carried Vanessa up many sets of stairs, halfway through the couple's first dance Erick picked up Vanessa from her wheelchair and danced with her in her arms, leaving the audience filled with joyful tears. Following the couple's memorable first dance, a DJ spun tunes for the remainder of the night, showcasing everything from old school hip-hop, pop, Ranchera and heavy rock music. Vanessa's brother, who had performed earlier in the day at the wedding ceremony, even surprised the couple with a rock guitar solo. The couple finished off their evening with a sparkler exit as a nod to Erick's nickname to Vanessa, "Firecracker." Of the nickname, Erick explains: “The fuse is always burning and going off… and to be honest I absolutely love it!”
