This Couple’s Moroccan Mehndi and Wedding Reception in Los Angeles, California, Were All About Luxury in Striking Color
The bride and groom set out to wow their friends and family with awe-inspiring events to mark their love and commitment to one another. A traditional mehndi henna ceremony and a fairytale reception featured two different over-the-top aesthetics with striking colors and plush details. The couple notes that they wanted “classic, romantic, with a touch of glam” for both celebrations and their wedding team didn’t disappoint.
The henna ceremony took place in the Hollywood Hills at The Hummingbird Temple, a stunning event venue teeming with Moroccan flair and hand-painted tiles. The bride and groom elected to bedeck the intricate venue with neutral tones and gold accents to compliment the incredible color that already filled the rooms.
Tablescapes included all manner of votives, vases and fresh white florals, while bright golden lanterns in varying sizes could be found wherever you looked. Gold and rose gold chargers and plates awaited guests at the long table, flanked by pink wine glasses and simple, low flower arrangements–perfect for facilitating conversation between friends and family.
The grandeur of the South Los Angeles resort Terranea was an idyllic backdrop for the couple’s wedding reception event. Sticking to the tried-and-true neutral tones (with hints of pink and mauve), the al fresco space featured creamy blooms and plush white chairs at each table. The couple “wanted to create height outside on the Catalina Lawn at Terranea, so we dreamt up a design with crystal chandeliers and lush florals.”
Long tables included towering candles surrounded by centerpieces featuring garden roses, hydrangeas, tulips, peonies and more. Glass tables and plenty of gem details gave the entire event a sense of unbridled opulence: transporting attendees into the bride and groom’s version of a modern fairytale.
