A Moody, Industrial Wedding With Black Attiere at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida
Marissa usually wears black, and she wasn’t about to change that when she married Candice. “I wanted a nontraditional dress that represented me in my everyday life,” Marissa says. Opting for a black lace number, it ended up inspiring their wedding’s moody design. Wax seals finished off their handmade black-and-white invites, while black pillar candles lined the aisle. During their ceremony, the pair placed letters and a bottle of wine into a box they’ll open on their first anniversary, which just so happens to fall around Halloween.
The wedding party carried mostly green bundles filled with eucalyptus, fountain grass, Italian ruscus and more. Marissa’s bouquet included moody hits from anemones and roses. Marissa wrapped a small picture of her dad to her bouquet. “He passed away over 10 years ago, so to have something of him that day was super special for me.”
Candice and Marissa cut into a marble and vanilla cake with black and white frosting. In addition to cake, guests could snack on mini chocolate mousse cups, fruit tarts, chocolate-dipped strawberries and more.
Candice proposed with a black diamond ring, while Marissa gave Candice a ring that once belonged to her grandmother in return.
