Monogrammed Wedding Cake
The three-tier cake was covered in buttercream and alternated Gran Marnier dark chocolate and white butter almond with chocolate custard flavors. Nicole got the idea for the icing from a cake she saw on TheKnot.com. Though they preferred the taste of buttercream to fondant, their baker warned them to only set the cake out just before it was served to keep if from melting in the heat.
